Sketchbook Sunday: Keys to Drawing

I am working through Bert Dodson’s Keys to Drawing and one of the exercises is to draw a pepper from memory and then from observation, to illustrate how we use symbols to simplify the visual complexity of the world.

A digital pencil sketch of two peppers, one drawn from memory and one from observation
He also made me draw my feet.

A digital black and white pen drawing of my feet.
